Porsche has finally announced plans to offer the Cayenne Diesel in United States for the 2013 model year.
Virtually identical to the European variant, the model uses a 3.0-liter V6 turbo-diesel engine with 240 hp (179 kW / 243 PS) and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque. It enables the crossover to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 7.2 seconds, hit a top speed of 135 mph (217 km/h) and tow up to 7,716 lbs (3,500 kg).
The Porsche Cayenne Diesel will go on sale in September and U.S. pricing starts at $55,750 - excluding a $975 destination charge.
