Looks to me like a Japan cult car kind of thing, in which case normal 'Western Rules' probably don't apply. Similar vein to those ones with loony-tunes levels of negative camber so that the tyres all run on the inside edge.

Idlers Dont know
Rauh Welt Dont know Dont know
Rear wiper Confused
Number One Confused Confused

Reminds me a bit of the FTO - as in Mitsubishi FTO - which stands for something like 'Fresh Touring Organisation'.

First you need to upload the pics to a image sharing website such as photobucket. Then copy the URL of the pic and simply paste it in the reply box on here. When you submitt your reply and/or thread it will show the image.

Sometimes you see a modified car and you know it's different from stock, but the changes are so subtle they are barely distinguishable. Here is a great example of such a car (cheers for the Idlers link TJ!):

I'm afraid you are quite right, i do love it (i feel 'outed'..)- with the exception of the absence of turbos. this thing should spit fire and have at least 500bhp, from two large turbos with enough lag to boil an egg.

also, thanks for the info re "idlers" TJ Thumb

It should eat cute animals and make children cry.

I'm sorry to say that it looks afraid of the fat guy in pic #2. AND it's ugly, all day long.

Interesting link you posted... http://www.auto-otaku.com/home/2008/03/coverage-idlers.html

And whats most interesting in the link is that unlike the similar wide body Gemballas etc, these things are ACTUALLY tracked.. which makes a difference, downforce is useful on a racetrack, less so on the Kings Road

1996 Porsche 993 Turbo

PostPosted: Sun Mar 18, 2012 3:01 pm    Post subject: Reply with quote

Re; the above point, these cars are ACTUALLY tracked, I witnessed this today at a rain sodden Fuji Speedway Idlers event. I also had the pleasure of meeting Nakai san, the man behind these RWB creations in Japan. A very humble and self effacing man who on the track, is inspiring. As were the other guys driving these cars and who were also actually DRIFTING them in appalling wet conditions... worship Skid pan at Silverstone, pah.

I'm sure that for even those who struggle with the aesthetics of these RWB interpretations, once you see and hear them hurtle around a track (and yes, some of them do spit fire), you would admire the passion of these 911 owners. I was. But no, I haven't got the balls (or the budget) to turn up in one of these Grin

Enjoy,

TJ

Yes it does breathe fire...

BUT these are my favourites...

Especially this one...
