Me too. Still, each to their own.
Dashboard in particular looks awful, and that's coming from somebody who designs and sells LCD dashboards for cars for a living. Smile

Interesting. I normally like wide body 911's, but this one doesnt look quite right somehow. I wonder... i think it looks like its riding too high, combined with the wing which looks a bit strange to me. Dont know

I'd have a go, once he gets the wing mirrors fitted and a set of 'plates.

1996 Porsche 993 Carrera 2

PostPosted: Wed Jan 04, 2012 10:33 am    Post subject: Reply with quote

I've seen it on RL before but in those photos I didn't notice the way it looks like it's riding too high, as you say Roro. It looks too tall and narrow, even though it has GT2 arches and the distance between the road and the bottom of the sills looks huge. How can that be if it's on 18" wheels and the arches are on the tyres?

Sundeep, have you changed the aspect ratio on the photos somehow, as the whole car looks out of proportion!? Confused

No wing mirrors? Wonder why not? Love the engineering but hate some of the details, such as the steering wheel....

If you're going fast enough, you don't need wing mirrors!

Still looks like an abortion though.

I like the steering wheel, I would consider this if it came in a leopard skin print, does anyone know where I can get it?

Also some of you may remember my digital speedo thread. Finally someone has fitted this timeless iconic dashboard accessory and brought our ageing old cars up to date.

I would hate to catch one of those very expensive looking pipes at the rear on a speedhump! Where's his engine tray? Very Happy
