Can anyone help please?
Vehicle has 20" Porsche wheels with 275x40 Continental tyres
As the n/s/f tyre showed signs of feathering on outer edge I had a four wheel alignment check carried out on the 13/10 by a non Porsche wheel alignment specialist. Rears were readjusted to within spec - Front toeing also readjusted to within spec. However, the front camber (n/s) was +0.49 (max spec +0.30) and would only adjust back to +0.42. The o/s would only adjust back to just within max spec (+0.30) at +0.29. The technician suggested the nut controlling the eccentric cam which adjusts either - or + would not move any further. He appeared unfortunately to have no answer as to why this should be? The vehicle is low mleage very clean underneath and has a full OPC service history next one due and booked for 21/10. I have owned the vehicle for over a year and know its previous history, which does not involve any accidents. Can anyone solve this problem, for instance, is it possible for the adjustment nut to travel to both right and left i.e over the heel, to achieve either a - or + adjustment? Or is there a special tool? Thanks in anticipation of your help.
