Yes, I know it's not the shape, that's why I tried to crop it as tight as possible (although, unfortunately, even the carrier reflector is square)
 
These look like the 918 Spyder's? If so, I think chances are good the same concept is used on the new 911 - especially since the tail lights have been seen to mimic the 918 Spyder's.
