Does anybody know anybody who they would trust their 911T 2.4 engine to for a rebuild? Ideally in North West of UK. I am restoring my 911 and am ready for the engine rebuild, it running OK however I want is right for Le Mans Classic run in 2012.

ALso any recommendations for a respray would be welcome. Thanks Guy.

If you're close enough go and see them, and their workshop, and the cars that they are working on, that should convince you,

Good luck

These guys know their engines - especially the air cooled variety :thumb:

Not sure if tech9 south of Liverpool does that kind of work, but might be worth a call.

Sorry but for something as early as a 2.4T I'd recommend Mike Bainbridge (http://www.mbporsche-engineering.co.uk) just outside Kendal - he made a stunning job of taking a friends 2.0ltr to a short stroke 2.3 twin spark - awesome result.

I've just had a 2.7RS engine rebuilt by Bob Watson (http://www.bobwatsonporsche.co.uk) and he did a corker of a job. If you really want the best, it's imho Robert Gant at Gantspeed (http://www.gantspeed.co.uk/)

P

100% agree with Philip when it comes to early Porsche specialist in NW..... and you get to visit the Lake District too!

I'm sure you're aware of the large proportion of posts on here regarding Hartech's good work. They are a 911UK site sponsor and world leaders in the field of 911 rebuilds. I would look no further than them, Baz has been working on Porsche's for decades and his knowledge of all of the models is legendary.

01204 302 809: Hartech, speak to Baz or Grant,

Good luck!
