DRIVERS DOOR GLASS CHANNEL - 1990 C4 TARGA

Hi
The glass on the drivers door has come out of the channel and wont stay in. I have been told the glass comes from the factory with the channel pressed on. Does any one have glass with the channel on or a good condition elctric mechanism

No need to fork out for a new glass...

Remove the inner door panel and carefully pull back the moisture barrier sheet. Then run a bead of clear silicone sealant along the inside of the channel before refitting the glass into the channel. Refit the moisture barrier (or fit a new one from Porsche) and the inner panel. Fully raise the window so it's pushing against the top seal and leave it for 24hrs for the silicone to set.
