not sure about undetectable, but this company allows you to swap between original or remap as often as you like.
I've used them on my 997 and am happy with the results.

I would research SuperChips, they at least warranty the engine for a year, or until the end of the manufacturer's warranty, whichever is the sooner.
As there isn't much to be gained for a NA remap (say 20BHP max), a VFM off the shelf map is probably the best route.
Yes, a live map may liberate another 2bhp over generic, but you'll be paying double at least for it.
If it was a Turbo, that would be another matter.
