Chris,

Us 'northerners' spell 'teh' as 'the'

Strange, I know, but try it. We might be able to understand your posts!

Peter...all sorted and thanks for that, sorry its a common internet slang neologism Wink

Actually I'm probably more northern than you, I nearly put 'tut' instead of 'the' but held back. Grin

Thumb Another positive review for Exel Wheels, very pleased indeed with the transformation of my wheels and the service that Chris provided. Now have 997 Turbo Wheels in Basalt Black with original Porsche center caps also painted in black.

Question Question

Are they genuine 997 Turbo wheels or just replicas?

Haha yes that is precisely what happened to me. Ask Chris how grubby my car was a year ago. And don't ask me how much I've spent on it in the last year! But of course, it's worth it... thumbsup

Hi Phil...great to meet and work with you Thumb

Guys, I had a few words when I fitted the loan wheels about Phil's arches....this is what I was greeted by today....the infamous underarch clean...cracking effort by Phils brother Grin

We also decided to replace all the wheel nuts too, especially the locking ones which had been badly damaged in the past by use of high power airguns.

Here we can see the extent of the damage and how the aluminium starts to crumble when corrosion gets hold. Its surprising how many I see like this....as they always say....blokes should check their nuts regularly.

Tom will testify to the nightmare if they get stuck on! Surprised

.

Here's how the new nuts now look on the car:

And finally the wheels...

At first glance these wheels looked pretty good, but on closer inspection corrosion was starting to creep around the valve stems and spokes, as well as a small amount of kerb rash on a couple. There was also evidence of some previous heavy handed refurb work which has slightly altered the profile. There are limits to how good you can get wheels in this condition, but I think they've come out pretty well, not least as this 993 has done well over 100,000 miles!

We fitted new metal valves, not least as there was some leakage.

Thanks for looking! bye

Have you got yourself some Optimol TA yet Chris? A dose of that to each stud should prevent any seizing of the new ones.

Those lockers look well past it!

Fantastic work on the rims as always Thumb
