.........Sell Cars, !!!!

All I did was call in for a cup of coffee, one of their famous Bacon Butties, and to look at their showroom

And I bought a car !!!!!

996 turbo, Amazon Green, or it might be Amazon Blue, it's hard to tell, but what a test drive !!!!!!

I think mine is different to a lot of 996 turbos on here, mine is just a 996 Turbo, not a tt as some seem to designate their cars, (yes, this is me being a pompous tw@t), :)

Thanks also to Jamie at Eurolease, all financed with two emails and about 30 minutes of my time, who could ask for more !!!

Now, how long will I keep my clean licence for I wonder :?:

No more yellow peril?

Just straight blue/green peril!

Congrats, safe drive home.

:thumb:

No, the yellow peril is going,

I will openly admit that at this moment in time I think the SY cabrio sitting in my garage is a better looking car,

But, sheesh, the Turbo test drive made me swear really bad words, and this was just in the first 4.2 secs !!! (think about it) lol

This will be the first 911 coupe I've owned, my 964 was a cabrio as well, but the new one does have a sunroof for the odd sunny day !!

Roll on next week.

Pat!!! You said you were going to the Lake District. Epic Fail!
and to think I nearly swung by Malton yesterday.

I expect a drive by on your way home...

CONGRATS and well done to Jamie from Eurolease.

Congratulations!!! Green 911s are just so cool.

I bet your SY cab and your 996T(T) look great next to each other?

Having a cab and a coupe at the same time would be my ideal......

I thought that was why you chopped the top off your 993 coupe?

Did you work out a way of using the spare roof panel as a hard-top?

Can you not use aero grade pop-studs to secure? Can't remember what they're called. I am sure someone from the flying fraternity might be along soon to help.

996 Turbo, at your age ?? (will your heart cope ok)

Well done mate, enjoy her. :worship:

Does this mean I have to take you off the list for my car?

Welcome to the tt club :thumb:

Congratulations
German racing green looks pretty special on a tt or in this case turbooooo
Enjoy :thumb:

Unfortunately, yes, but it's no reflection on your car, which is ' considerably improved' compared to the standard version I'm getting,

The other thing of course, is as you're getting older and more senile, you'll probably;

A: Forget that you said you'd sell the car
and
B: Forget who's on the list anyway :?

cheers

Congrats Pat :thumb: Now you go steady on that A64 won't you. Plod likes hiding and eating roadside fry-ups all day along that road and they like a bit of Pork for afters...

I like that colour

...and am glad to see that someone else has a 911 Turbo, like me (not a TT like I used to have from Audi :thumb: )

Mine's having new brakes all-round today and a few other bits and bobs ready for a run down to Bavaria next week :D :D :D

Nice one Pete, looks good that turbo, quite an unusual colour (for a 996 turbo). :thumb:

I go to Malton for my servicing, always enjoy looking at some of the vintage Pork they have in the showroom although I daren't drive any of them for the reason you have just found out...!!!!!

You're lucky it worked out positively for you. Unfortunately my experience was far less positive. You can read about it by following the link below, but I would urge anyone considering doing business with John Hawkins and/or Specialist Cars of Malton to proceed with grave suspicion and great care and definitely get your solicitor involved before you do anything.
