I Have a 911 1977 3.0 carrera Targa, the top end of the engine was rebulit about 4 years ago, and has not been used since.
Battery was flat, jumped start the engine.
The engine really smoked badly, after about 15 mins the smoke slowly reduced, when the engine was hot, I checked the oil level, this was high so I may of over filled. on tick over the gauge shows the oil pressure only just registering, when rev-ing the pressure rises to about half way, the temperature is about 190, so doesn't seem to hot.
When i stop the engine, the engine will not turn over, could this be an engine problem or a starter motor or a battery problem.
The engine will restart when the engine cools down.
Can anyone give me some advice!!
