1998 Porsche 993 Carrera 4S

PostPosted: Fri May 28, 2010 8:39 pm    Post subject: Bonkers 993 GT2 in Coppa Florio Blue Reply with quote

I'm sure this one has been featured here before but I figured it well worthy of a repost for newcomers.

Was the cover car for the Exclusiv and Tequipment brochures back in the day and cost a staggering 50,000 DM over the price of a normal GT2

The colour isn't white as it appears but pale Coppa Florio Blue.

Much as it isn't to many/anybody's taste you have to appreciate the work that's gone into it.

I would like to meet the fella who spec'd this car, as I bet he's as mad as a box of frogs.

Also it's now for sale for the bargain price of 229,000 Euro!

Translated into English (Babel Fish):

Original 993 GT2 of one of only 172 pieces world-wide, from the exclusive department of the Porsche AG, only once so built!! The vehicle is shown and descriptive in different Porsche books!! " German Erstauslieferung" to a VIP customer, 1.Hand (only one entry in orig. KFZ letter), orig 43000km completely only in the Porsche work waited, 7 - maintenance stamps in the Servicheft available, last maintenance only some months ago in the work accomplished, since then no more driven, all calculations from the work are likewise present!! The vehicle is absolutely accident and after lacquer finish-free, a racing course or a like saw, only in dry weather was never driven, the owner over 80 years old was and the vehicle very carefully treated and drove!! The factory-installed Unterboden and engine wax are still itselfable as on the first day with distribution!! The vehicle became without air conditioning system, without el. Window lifter and without Airbags delivered!! Special equipment: Work special lacquer finish " coppa florio" , one orig. Porsche color from the 60iger and 70iger years, special leather equipment " CAN CAN rot" , Bowl seats with red painted GRP bowls, each operating sector of the interior equipment, even the radio, all buttons, levers, all linings, borders and the roof sky are referred in leathers, aluminiunfarbene dials, entrance borders in high-grade steel, high-grade steel final pipes, rim stars in car color ex factory, 92 L-tank, Porsche radio CR 11 RDW, windshield with green wedge!! The ex-factory price of this vehicle was approx. 50000, - DM more highly than the list price normal 993 GT2!! The vehicle is absolutely work-original, has neither falling rocks nor customs traces and is in a condition as if it would have left the straight workshops, all orig. Sticker at the vehicle and in the Servichheft are present!! Such an exclusive vehicle with this legend and in this untouched condition will give it no second time more!!! A rare piece for fastidious collecting tanks!!!

that 993 turbo has been for sale for years , trying to find a buyer who can live with that disgraceful interior .., well that may never happen . De chrome the wheels and re do the interior in either dark blue or black would be my suggestion , as much as i love and respect individualism .. some things shouldnt be done for a good reason

Here is my thread from when it was for sale before, page 2 of my "Porsche Exclusive" thread, with a better English translation

http://911uk.com/viewtopic.php?t=38781&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=10

The interior is referred to as "Similar to the 964 Turbo S, leather everwhere". Flauchbau
