I have a set of wheels with tyre codes 1815 on the rears and 1017 on the fronts. (Michelin PS2s)

They have done under 2k Miles and were taken off a car in 2018 and kept in a garden office (luxury shed). They still have the bubbles on the side and look like new.

But, the rears are almost 5 years old. What's the consensus?

Tyres are Michelin.

Get new rears? Or are they fine?

Lots of people have 911s as weekend cars and probably do a few k miles a year. After 5 years and 50% use, do they replace tyres?

I think you'll be fine keeping them for a while.

6 years old is usually the limit.

Thank you,

Michelins website say they are good for 10 years

That's the limit for Porsche extended warranty I believe. Older and it won't pass the 111-point check Rolling Eyes

Rubber is all to do with how they are stored and exposure to UV light I believe. In your case and Michelin's view I'd go for the 10yrs.

Given Michelin are N rated why won't Porsche accept 10yrs Bandit

Agreed, I've got various old sets in my shed and some that were bagged and kept in a shed (previous owner and I do the same) are better than some newer sets I've got that have been on the car.
