For those who don't think the Panamera is pretty enough, there were always going to be a raft of styling options available from the Porsche converter crowd - and first out of the blocks is Gemballa with these images of its new 'Mistrale' package.
While others have criticised the Panamera for aping Porsche's classic rear-engined sports model, Gemballa pushes the connection further with extended front and rear wings that it says are a 'visual allusion to the classic 911-design'. Other visual differences to the standard car include a more sporty front spoiler with larger air intakes and a carbon lip, as well as a new bonnet with slotted ventilation ducts that Gemballa says should reduce lift.
Wings said to allude to 911They also propose a rear end treatment featuring a new apron with integrated diffuser and a quad-tailpipe sports exhaust system.
The Gemballa Mistrale rides on a re-programmed air suspension model that lowers the COG by up to 40mm, and those 22ins alloys hide an upgraded set of stoppers - 6-piston callipers gripping 420mm discs at the front, and 4-piston callipers with 380mm discs at the rear.
Buyers may need that extra stopping power if they start to dip into the Gemballa power options bin - the company says it plans further modifications that will include performance enhancements up to 750bhp for the turbocharged Panamera.
