Hello,

I'm looking for some expert advice on the matter,
I'm the owner of a 2005 Boxster S, i bought it with 18000 km now it has 70000km.
at 65000 km and maybe earlier a tick tick tick sound started from the engine at idle when the car was warm, when i rev up sometimes stopped but slowly came in again,
I didn't pay much attention as i thought in would be something from the exhaust. when i serviced the car at 68000 km my mechanic found chips in the engine oil (tiny gold pieces you could see with flashlight)
Because i didn't have the time i took it out and did 2000km slowly.
Now the sound continues, the car haven't lost any power at all.
My mechanic had no idea what it was and said that we had to open the engine to find out.
I would also like to mention that no engine check light appeared.

I would really much appreciate any kind of Help.
