Hii i have a 05 4.5 s cayenne, recently i have noticed that when im driving and then gently put my foot on the pedal, you can here clunking type noises as if the car is struggling to find the right gear, it almost shudders. The acceleration does not require the car to drop down the gears but this clunking and shuddering still happens.

I have to say that if i do accelerate a lot, the car drops down the gears and there is no problem.

Anyone any idea what this issue might be? Its more annoying than anything else

what sort of mileage has it done. do any warning lights display,

may be worth someone changing the tiptronic box oil whilst also checking underneath the vehicle,

hi its done 55,000 and was serviced at 53,000. At that time i can remember saying to the service manager of the clunk and he said its becuase of the size of the gearbox etc etc, however he mentioned something about a reset r something, its only the last week its started to happen again.

Should i think about changing the gearbox oil?

also no warning lights are coming up

Hello

They suffer alot from gearbox hydraulic valve chest failures and this can give the symptoms you describe...you can try the adaptaption reset at a specialist with a piwis tester....but i doubt this would work.

Mike

hi Mike i really hope like the last time a re-set will do it, but what exactly is gearbox hydraulic valve chest failure?.

Surely a fault like that would at least fire a warning light up

thanks
