"Right, I will take the lights of the 996, turn them upside down and we can say its new"

"great idea, and if we cut more of the plastic bumper away we can reduce the materials used, charge more money and claim its greener and faster"

"and then if we paint it red it will look more and more like a Ferrari"

Wheres the innovative sensual design gones that Porsche used to have? Yes it looks nice, but very average nice, not WOW thats different. All IMHO.

Well to me looks like a cross between the new mondeo rear lights and a TT.

Is there any indication of a launch date? Must say I prefer the current one.

i think that is just the face lift (or should we say butt lift) turbo

The 911 is such an iconic shape. We've seen

- the original 911 (late 60s, early 70s)
- the original 911 made safe after the war (impact bumpers)
- the flamboyant 80s (turbo/whaletail/widebody 3.2)
- the advent of CAD/CAM rounded edges in the 90s (964)
- the soapbar/rounded edges theme in extremis (993 and 996)
- the modern retro look (997)

The 911 has so far missed out on the sharp edged/creased "flamesurfaced" Bangled look... is this coming next in the 998?
