Hi I am new to the forum. My car is a Porsche 996 (911) year 1999.
Recently I did the foolish thing of changing the batteries in both my keys. Now I have the problem of activating the remote locking and have to manually open and lock the car. When I manually open the drivers door it gives me about 10 seconds to get the keys in the ignition before it starts to beep and the alarm goes off. Is there a way I can reset the keys rather than at a Porsche Specialist? Can anyone help me out there?

Ninemeister could probably help you out - based in Warrington so not too far from you I don't think?

I had this problem, nobody would help indy wise.

I had to got to a main deal and pay about 180 GBP from memory...

Keys are normally main dealer only, which is always pricey

I think there is a re-set mode. Worth searching PCGB forum and Rennlist before going down the OPC route.

I was told by Indy (not jones) that it was OPC only to code keys when i needed a spare.

Reading OPC, £168 (inc key). And they threw in a free key fob.
