A little about the project. In March 2007 i decided to build a 1973rsr replica as a fun retro weekend trackday toy. Here's answers to some popular questions people ask me;
It's using a mint condition Supersport as a donor car. You wouldn't throw this kind of money at a pile of rust
It will have a 3.2 engine kicking out around 270 to 290BHP, and will look period
It will weigh around >1100kg. The front wings, bumpers, bonnet and tail will all be fibre glass. The interior has been stripped out and replaced with light weight materials and bucket seats.
Sun roof deleted, Full Bolt in roll cage, harnesses, strut brace, fat RSR Fuchs, xenons
Colour to be confirmed. I think i know the colour i want but every time i see another brightly coloured 911 i start to ponder. Whatever the colour it will be bright!
When will be it ready at best late August hopefully early September. But it depends on factors like shipping of items, issues with products for example both the bonnet and the duck tail had to go back because they were warped add another 2 weeks
