The red 'battery' light came on this morning in my 4S after I'd started it. It did go out after a minute or so, but should I be concerned?

The drive belts all seem fine as did the voltage on the battery gauge (just under 14).

Anything else I might check?

Thx

R.

Has it been happening again Robertb, or did you manage to solve the problem?

Did the belt slip because of all the rain we are having?

Robert, if the car has been outside and it has been raining quite hard then the following is not unusual.

Start the car normally

Battery light comes on and voltage drops very slightly.

Slight whine as the belt slips a little

Couple of prods on the throttle

Back to normal

There has been no reappearance of the light since, must have been a little glitch, hopefully.

Thanks.
