Good Morning all..

I am going to put my new baby in for a GEO, had a chat with PARR and they have said a Stage 1 set up is what I need (30% track and 70% road use), this comes out at £550+vat.

Is this the set up I need ? They do ; Standard - Stage 1 - Stage 2 - Stage 3.

:?

Well the quick answer is how are you going to use the car? But as I think I know the answer this sounds about right probably similar to JZM's fast road. You really don't want any more than that. BTW that seems pricey compared to JZM. Sure mine was far less than that.

£650 for a Geo does seem a lot. Guess that is what to expect when you own a GT3 though.

How do you know the geo is not already set for about this anyway?

I don't !

When I had the car PPI'd, PARR said it could do with a geo, as the tyres are wearing on the inner edge.. And PARR say Stage 1 is what I will need ! I believe she is running standard right now !

I thought when the car was set up for the track that the tyres did wear on the inner edge? :?

My rear inners are worn more than the outer. My car was reset to standard geo last year.

They run a certain degree of camber as standard. I think the front cambers are made more extreme with the more track based set ups.

Funnily enough I got just the same from OPC last time I had it in for a service.

"Sir, you should have the geo done as you are showing uneven wear on the tyres"

"Thank you for that, the geo was done 2 weeks ago at JZM"

Uneven tyre wear should not be the only indication that the geo needs doing!!

Thank Rob...

I need it doing before Bedford, and PARR are the only company that can do it before that date !

Could leave it, and have it done by Manthey at the end of May ??

I don't know how different the geo settings are from a Mk2 but here's the standard (OPC) settings:

I wouldn't mind a copy of JZ's fast road geo settings as i'm way too far away to nip down just for that.

Trouble is they're a bit secretive about the whole thing from what i hear :(

I suppose one could visit a nice tyre place and get them to print off the settings
