engine revs 'hunts' as normal from cold for about 30secs before settling down at about 800rpm believe this is normal. On one occasion it hunted for about 20minutes and struggled to maintain tick over hunted from zero to about 1500rpm, somthing sticking? last couple of outings itys been okay, any comments??

Try cleaning out the ISV. Usually this helps alot with erratic tick over
