996 Bonnet Badge

Some Chav tried to help themselves to my bonnet badge (thought this craze ended with the Beastie Boys). Anyhow as luck would have it the badge got destroyed but no damage to the bodywork. However I have a problem.

I now have a replacement badge (which looks much better than the old one anyway) I'm left with the top of the shafts showing on the bonnet. As the "bolts" are just rubber with an interferience fit I can't move the buggers. Got it steeping in WD40 now to try an loosen them up.



Anyone else had to replace a Bonnet Badge and if so how did you get on?
