996 C4S... cooling fans query

The radiator fans at the front on my '02 C4S seem to work more or less all the time, coming on quite soon after start-up even before the car has warmed up. At least I am assuming they are the cooling fans rather than the a/c.

Temp seems fine, in traffic etc.

Is it normal for the fans to be on all the time?

Hi, think you'll find there are on because you have the aircon on. If you turn the aircon off silence will return ! at least thats the case with mine they are very noisy from the outside of the car.

Thanks- tried that and perfect silence! I don't really mind it was just after I'd washed it it blew dust up off the garage floor!
