Hi Chaps - sorry for the outage......

Getting close to a point in changing cars for the summer.......

Wondered what people felt - is a GT2 a viable everyday commuter car.....?

I brain says NO - go the TT X50 route......... but I just LOVE the GT2 :)

Rgds,

Simon

I love it too, but would I trust myself not to put it in a ditch without PSM? That's a whole lot of power going thru' two wheels without any form of stability control (particularly if you're as lacking in talent as my good self).

Have you driven one yet Simon?

Unless you are going to do something other than A-to-B driving it's just not worth it.

What about a LHD 964RS and something like a Focus ST, Mini Cooper JCW, Megane 225?

How's northern life treating you?

Damian

Yep - good point...... and 4 wheel drive is so more useable in the winter.

Its such a bad boy car though - Oh POO !

Cheers Damian,

Yep - loving the Northwest - and about to complete on a place in Wilmslow.

You know I've thought of the 964RS/other car combo - but the house only has room for 2 cars. Although there is a patch of land to fit a garage it isn't in front of the house and I would trust putting anything too special in it....

My brain really says keep the 4S and wait for 997TT prices to drop - but I've got money burning a hole..........

simply yes, as isnt it just a TT with no 4wd

Oh decisions! You could just say ***** it and get one and live with the consequences, you only live once and it's better to have had one than wishing you had one!

The X50 makes the better sense but you know my opinions on that lardy muted car!!!! Get an X50, get used to the power delivery and then get the GT2!!!!

From next Friday Julie's X3 gets chopped in for a MCSC in Pepper White....then it's my turn!

No 4WD & no PSM - a fiery combination with that much power.

There aren't many GT2's out there full stop !
And prices are so damn variable...... anywhere between £65-75k....

Autotrader has tracked a nice looking one with an OPC warranty for £64995 with 19k miles..... Mmmmm

Just need to complete the house sale 1st

Well the easy answer is yes. I've just got to get some money together, the X3 required a full rectal examination from BMW to the tune of £6k in negative equity.....oh and a buyer for my C4S.
