Just spoke to Ray, 19+k ish for mine, and he said the 996 is mint with full OPC history, had a RMS and Clutch not too long ago !!

? worth looking for a 3.6 ? is there a lot of power difference ?

Wouldn't worry about the number of owners necessarily.

Check the interior carefully. Before I bought my 993, I looked at a few 996s and the interiors tended to look a bit ropey.

Figures for the 3.4 look good vs the 3.6, more torque with the 3.6, but some contemporary road tests said that the handling in the 3.4s was more fun, more involving.

The 2000my had alcantara headlining which is nice, and can also be fitted with the PSE...

Also, the 3.6 comes with cupholders (thoughtfully placed over the PCM screen), and that's all wrong that is.

I thought you were after an 993S Dan?

Dan

As a comparison, the 996 above yours on the northway site is 30k, for a 2000 year car, 37k miles etc. If you take a 993 S at potentially the same price, which one will have held its value best in 2 or 3 years time?

(Am now ducking behind the settee)
