Hi new to site so hey all

Hope somebody can help.

I've just picked up a 98 boxster and stall it often. It runs fine, except tick over is irratic hence the stall when trying to pull away, the revs just die. It was serviced before I picked it up and had a full inspection so assuming the fault has just occurred, that or I'm just a bad driver!

Did you buy it from an OPC? If so, just take it back and throw the keys at them and tell them to sort it out. Ditto if it was any other garage. If it was private, then you're stuffed (as it were). Could well be the air mass meter or one or more of the coil packs - the latter, more due to the recent wet weather and their tendency to crack in the wet.

Better still, sell the salon and the car and buy a 911 :p

SG - you do seem to be harsh with our Boxster owner friends. Do you have some underlying desire to drive one of the topless wonders that you are trying to supress? :p
Don't worry, you can share with us! :D
