997 Warranty

Hi all

You may remember i posted about my "bump" from the clutch on my 997S.

I got a call from Eindhoven OPC today (the car has been with them for 18 days) telling me i can pick it up. When asked what was wrong they have told me thay have changed a clutch control cylinder and the complete clutch - and that it is all warranty!

Now , ever the sceptic, i will be amazed if i walk out of an OPC free of charge when they have changed a servicable (clutch disc) item under warranty.

The language barrier was a little difficult over the phone so i will post exactly what was changed tomorrow. But he did state that as i had mentioned problems i had discovered on internet forums to him about 997 flywheel / clutch etc the warranty will be upheld throughout.

One up for the small guys!! (fingers crossed!)

Matt

depends if its a mechanical/manufacturing defect I'd imagine..........I had a clutch replaced under an Audi used car warranty a few years back....bizzarely enough on a BMW.........I also had front discs replaced too
