Alarm on Battery Disconnection

My 996 alarm goes off every time i disconnect the battery ripping hell out of my ear drums for a few minutes, even longer if the battery is well charged.

Any ideas to save my ears?

Out of interest - why do you disconnect the battery? Sorry I got no idea how to solve the problem.

As long as the ignition key is in the ON position when you disconnect it will not go off.

Resetting the ECU are we???

Just been away and it's flat as a pancake after only 10 days so want to get it checked out. I'm in the middle of doing some bodywork so i'd rather run out in my other car and not disturb anything.

Just ordered a trickle charger off Vertar so hopefully my last time for this, i am away quite a lot sometimes for a month or so.
