Hiya all, brand new to 911uk so take it easy on me. My motor is a 1999 996 Carrera 4 tiptronic- wait for it.....in metallic mirage (light gold) with full mid green leather interior. I think its bloody great and quite unique. I've seen a couple of 996 mirage metallics but no 996 with the mid green leather.

I've had the car for over a year now and like it so much I'm looking to upgrade to a 2002/03 carrera 4 tiptronic. Unfortunately dealers are put off by my colour scheme so much that I get p..... off at them and refuse to negotiate further. Any tips??? By the way does anyone know where there's a 2003 996 C4 or turbo in the same colour scheme as I would buy the same again.

cheers

Welcome to the forum,

Dont know about the leather colour, not really my cup of tea,

however the colour mirage gold, is really nice quite rare,

My first 911 was 98 C2 996 in this colour.

odd isn't it all the mags and tv progs have some very out there colours at times yet dealers all go oh dear oh dear I'll never sell that.

Personally having a silver 911 would to me be a tad boring oh dear that'll rattle a few sorry folks but there you go we are all individuals!!!

I saw a green interior on a 911 and really loved it.

Also went to look at a mirage 996 on a OPC dealership...well tried to....they said the phone hadn't stopped ringing n it! Grey interior as I recall.

Chatting to someone at Autobahn they had a yellow boxter for ages and ages bt ten someone phned up looking for a b'day pressie for wife and loved it.

Think it is a case of silvercars with gey/black interiors sell oh so easil by the looks of it.

Personaly I love the Blut (always thought it was blood) orange and greens of a while back
