I've just purchased a nice 993, only trouble is it's black and shows every mark. Unfortunately I live in a London flat so cleaning it is going to be a major problem.

I'm not taking it near one of those large automatic washers and getting it cleaned by one of the specialist companies looks like the only answer. Can anyone recommend somewhere good but not prohibitively expensive, preferably near W9?

Are there any other options for washing-your-own in such a circumstance? The lack of a hose would seem to be a slight impediment.

Don't know if you can still get them, or remember what they were called but you used to be able to buy a siphon arrangement with a hose and brush on it that you put on a bucket of water, if you didn't have access to a hose. They weren't brilliant iirc, but better than nothing if that or paying for valeting is the alternative.

Richard,

I think QVC the shopping channel used to sell the product you mentioned. Might be worth while looking for their wesite.

How about using the jet wash type, with the lance and brush ?

John

I also live in a flat, so I am in the same situation...

I use the touch-less car wash at the Chiwsick Roundabout W4, which is very good... a few pounds more than normal but that means all the riff-raff cars stay away

regards
