Guys, I have been offered this car in search for a 993, can you advise me as to if its cheap or over prices?

993 Carrera 4, 1996, manual, done 99,000 miles with 2 owners from new (porsche demo + 1 private owner)

full porsche history, services 2 months ago.

Factory upgrades- uprated exhaust, hard back seat, hi-fi, alarm..

factory option- a/c, twin airbags.

She is in Black, with Grey leather, 17" alloy wheels and a private No. plate.

Prices at -£23,000 (well this is what i can buy her at)

Owners seems fines, Car seems what i want(have not seen it yet), just the 99k miles, worries me a tad... Ok yea i will use her at weekend only so doing 3k ayear.

Could i have some view's----------

Seams a reasonable price if RHD. You'd of course do a PPI still, but 99k is not bad for a 10yr old car, at least it's been used. If it had been cared for then high milage isn't a problem, buy on condition.

Keep on looking

Better spending more money if you have it for a lower miles car..

if not then Go and buy That car

Nothing to add to what Mick says really. Seems like a fair price if it is in good condition.

Nice to see a car that has been looked after for that long by one owner- I assume this is a private sale- if so, you can get a good feel for what the owner is like, e.g. fastidious, drives it well, warms it up properly before nailing it etc.

Worth looking at the paint at the front- might need a bit of attention to chips etc, depending on how fussy you are... also look at drivers seat bolster.

Just make sure you get a decent PPI from a specialist - if its in good condition and well maintained then the mileage should not be a problem.... and you are not planning to stack up much more.

Sounds alright to me if it PPI's OK

There is a similar looking 993C4 at
www.selltop.com
for £28k with 65,000 miles.
That's
34,000 fewer miles for £5k (other things being equal).

Its from a Used Car Trader,

He bought it, i would think from a main dealer and is trying to make a quick dollor from it..

don't think he knew the last owner, and how its been driven !

would any of you buy a 120k mile 993 in say 5 years, with 3 owners ?

what should it be worth ? i have looked in glasses gide, and its worth (TRADE THIS IS) £22,750 @39k ! but tell me where you can by one for that ?

keep the advise coming..............

It helps to have a mate in the trade if you want cheap cars...

Sounds like a fair price - if it is in good condition and the PPI checks out ok I would go for it.

I would tend to prefer the high miles with 1 - 2 owners, but body and mechanical condition is the most important.

See it not really a friend of mine, its someone who gave me his number..

I asked the person(who gave me the number) whats the chap like, buy my mate said no idea !!!

1) Condition

2) Service history,

3) Mileage

4) Price

You have hit the nail on the head daniel.. you have to look to see the car you are going to sell in 3 years time what will it be like ie : 120000 miles fsh with all the bit and bobs but the only way to sell this is on Price. just keep hunting daniel the right car will pop up soon. we hope
