How to tell a 993 C4 from a C2

How do you definitely know that a 993 is a C4 and not a C2 with clear indicators, Carrera 4 brake calipers and wheel inserts??? E.g. is there a Torsen diff underneath that would only be on a C4???? Sorry for the dumb question but would like to know if there is a visual difference to look out for. Thanks

not sure either.....

but IIRC they all come with ABD, due to the 4wd, then the light on the dash should light up when the car is started.. not an option on the C2 (?)

also there MUST be difference under the bonnet up front with the 4wd mechanics....

otherwise it will understeer when driven verses oversteer of 2wd..

The most obvious easy difference - C4 boot space upfront is noticeably smaller than C2 because of the front diff.....

isn't the vin number different, in which case it will be visible through the front screen

Carrera badge on the back is a dark finish on C4 (as well as saying Carrera 4!). If you look under the front wheel arches with the wheels on full lock, you can just see the front drive shafts.

Having looked at a lot of these recently, the most obvious way is with the trunk open, the C4 has the diff in the front and a lot less space (One of the reasons I didn't get one!)

Thanks for all the replies guys. Checked the C4 in question out yesterday and very ropey for a 2 owner 30000m car. Really tatty and loads of bits missing. I'll carry on the search......
