993's in Monaco

I have just got back from a biz trip in Monaco and obviously their were loads of serious motors all over the place.

Apart from all the Ferraris, Bentleys and Rollers I didn't see so many Porsches but of those I did see around the place most were 993's.

Didn't see any 997's at all.

I couldn't agree more. I live near cannes but my missus works in Monaco. You can normally spot all the new exotica from Bentley, Ferrari etc. at casino square. But as soon as the novelty fades the "reliable, trusty and more fun" supercars re-emerge. I was at the launch of the 997 in France and it was pretty cooly received as well - i don't think having a Carrera GT there helped too much though! My old 964 was also used in the line up of 911's 1970's to 997 which was interesting to see all the differences. Still prefer my 993 :)
