How much for a 1997 993 carrera S

I am considering selling my 1997 993 carrera S in silver with light grey leather, 43,000 miles, climate control, 18inch wheels, fsh and in really good condition. Any idea as to what price this will fetch?

A couple of weeks ago, an OPC (Porsche Centre Nottingham) had a C2S like yours, similar mileage, similar spec. and they were asking £42,995. I haven't seen it advertised since.

Specialist Cars of Malton are showing three C2S at £43,995.

A lot depends on condition, as I have seen scruffier ones at £35,000ish.

A private sale, in excellent condition, I would ask what most other private sellers seem to ask (in Porsche Post and 911 & Porsche World for example) which is the high £30s, say £38,500.

I think prices must have gone up a bit since April. i sold my Carrera S 96 for £33k to a dealer after having advertised it privately for £37.5k then £35k and got no interest. It had 49k and FPSH.

Greg: I think the Carrera S was around £70K when new, according to one of my old CAR magazines. But that was before extras like air con, 18" wheels etc.

I also wonder what effect the 997 has had on 993 prices: firstly the 997 looks more like a 993 than the outgoing 996; and the hot model is now also called Carrera S - which can't hurt the image of the 993 Carrera S.

... just a thought.
