Am seriously considering a 964 cabriolet. Am off to see one, and wondered if there are any known problems or things I need to look out for / ask current owner that will save me wasting money on a PPI, and/or a 200 mile round trip from Hampstead.

Is it still very popular to slash the roofs? Car will be parked on the street overnight.

Thanks

On my old 964 Cab, the hood was split/torn at the hinge point on the rear side. Apparently they were a little prone to this. Also rear plastic window can discolour and is smaller (more blindspots) than the 993 version. I would guess that on street parking will leave the roof more prone to birds/sap and the like.
