Hi

Just traded by 1995 993 c2 for 1996 C4 with all the bells and whistles and very happy. However, the dealer has removed the original supplier lables (HR Owen) from the front and rear screens, this has left some rather unsightly sticky marks that don't seem to want to come off. So far I have only tried meths but any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Percy

Lighter fluid will work.

Thanks Bosch, will give it a go this evening. Will lighter fluid also work for the glue left on the wheels from previous balancing weights?

For the wheels I've found that Autoglym Tar removerer is perfect for this job. Their glass cleaner is also good for polishing all glass after u've removed the sticky goo.

Do you think the tar remover will work on the glass as well, not had too much luck with the lighter fluid, was going to try something a bit stronger like nail varnish remover but that might be too harsh. Anyway, will give it go this weekend and see what happens.

try a stanley blade at a narrow angle, thisshould lift of the hardened top layer and leave a softer layer that the lighter fluid should remove. Failing the ligter fluid try brake cleaner.
