Hello folks,
I checked the oil filler cap on my 52 reg 996 a few days ago after reading a thread here about mayo/custard-like substance around the cap.
The mayo was there, and I sponged out the water which was visible on the horizontal part of the filler tube. Normally the car is used for the daily commute (around 6 miles both directions) but over the last few days the car has been used for longer journeys with more of the rev range used. There still appears to be condensation on the inside of the filler cap and along the horizontal part of the filler tube. The car is garaged at night.
Is it normal to have some condensation on the cap?
Thanks for your help.
