Xenon Bulbs

i know that you have to be careful because some of those sort of bulbs are illegal and only intended for show use etc. i think the xenons are ok but dont know how they perform.

I've just put Phillips '50% Brighter' bulbs into my 3.2 (cost about £15 or £20) and it has made a reasonable difference. Before I needed a miner's head torch when I drove at night, now as long as I've had some carrots I'm ok ! You need to be careful about the wattage on these replacement bulbs, I've seen plenty of stories of people persistently blowing fuses with after-market brighter bulbs. I can't justify the expenditure on Xenon's - total waste of money imho. Also I'd be wary of buying 'no brand' stuff advertised on e-Bay - I'm sure it's kosher but you never know and the last thing you want is to end up damaging your car by installing something that seemed 'a bargain' !
