Agree! ...though as 'ultimate' actually means 'last', maybe it's destined to become a classic... Wink

Good god - who would drive/build such a thing. Some 80's city trader maybe? A drug dealer perhaps? Still, it's not as bad as this one...

Ahem Stefan

Us city traders that started in the 70's lived through the 80's, survived the 90's and are now bewildered in the 00's might take umbridge Very Happy
,or not !!

I remember an old advert, the product escapes me, but it was to do with spending your hard earned on 'Carlos Fandango' wheels. It then showed an anglia/mk1 cortina roaring away off the front of house parking, leaving the just fitted wheels and arches as it tried to get through the fence posts to get to the road. anyone remember it?

This beast looks very similar to what many of us pre-body hair lads thought of as cool cars. Obviously there's one post body hair chap that still does!

S Marjoram,

Believe it or not that Rinspeed R69 is actually a pretty rare car. I agree that it's looks are pretty questionable, but that's the '80s for you ! There's a good article in this month's 911&P W about Rinspeed, that has pictures of the R69 in it. Rinspeed were (still are ?) one of the best known and regarded Porsche modifiers around. I would certainly rather have the R69 than that dog's dinner of a 928 !

Rinspeed or not, why chop off the 911's lovely sticky outy lights and stick a large box on its arse?
