Can't seem to get it to work. It uploads OK (there are probably about three copies of the pix up here now), and the images are visible when I'm previewing my message but when it posts the message all that's visible is the placeholder.

What have I done wrong?

Nope, doesn't work for me. I hit the 'tree' icon, paste the URL as instructed, the picture appears, I hit the reply button, and then nothing.

IE6 under XP Pro, all pretty standard. I even tried turning off my ad-blocker (Proxomitron).
