Buying a used LHD 912/911

Sorry for posting such a basic noddy question....but looking for an early 911 and need to know...

When did Porsche start galvanising the body of the 911. I think I read somewhere that the targa was first with a galvanised floorpan only(?) and others later.

Anyone out there know the truth - which models / order / years

The underside of the cars were galvanised from the 71 MY onwards and 76 was the first year of the fully galv shell, but you will find many mid 80s Porsches that are rusty, so galvanising on a 30 year old car is no guarantee of freedom from corrosion.
