The cruise control on my 1981 911 SC doesn't seem to work (well at least the levers on the steering column don't do anything).

Does anyone know if there are any simple things to check for to find out what the problem might be?

The cruise control is vacuum operated activated by the electrical systems steering column mounted lever .
I'll try to post a diagram when I find it . I chicked mine out of the car but now miss it on long journeys so I'll be refitting it soon . It lives on the left of the engine (looking from the back) so check for obviously broken pippes and wires leading to /from it and the fuse in the elictrical circuit .
