Chart above states Combined Gas Cycle Turbine. That's not Gas or Diesel powered generators used to back-up wind farms. So where is the figure for that?

Meanwhile, blatantly exploiting an opportunity, if anyone is replacing their 996/7/Boxster engine we are always looking for them - please get in touch admin@hartech.org Not of much value of the crank is damaged however.

The answer is clearly hybrids. We need to reduce pollution in built up areas and Councils will introduce exclusion zones that are likely to be 20mph zones (so no chance to drive with spirit there).

The other issue is to finally put car tax on fuel. Its easy to find the total income from road tax and from fuel tax (so a child at school could work out the addition). Plenty of environmental projects to employ road tax employees and no new staff needed - it is just a different number on the fuel tax system already collected - and less police time wasted chasing tax dodgers and those using the roads more paying their rightful share!.

This would discourage use of fossil fuels for short journeys (until the battery gets low) yet still allow the experience of a powerful engine when on track days or Country drives.

The Government just need to change the tax and delay introducing a sales ban on hybrids until well after those for fossil fuelled cars.

Hydrogen fuel also needs fully investigating as an alternative.

Baz

Yeah

I've been saying for many years that this is the simplest solution. It would also get some revenue from foreigners that currently use our roads tax free.

Problem is Baz, today's generation are too thick to remember to plug them in so most are continually running on fossil fuel and are less efficient than your ICE.

I'll never forget hiring a hybrid on holiday (totally pointless as there where no charging points anywhere but at least the hire company ticked the virtue signal box). Worked out the mpg when I returned it and got 32mpg. The same figure as I get when I drive my 996 down the the South of France. Floor

Regardless of all this, someone has yet to prove CO2 is a problem and man made CO2 is warming the planet to a state of emergency. It's all just theory and isn't really happening.

......and all of us will suffer due to actions taken to fall in line with the myth. nooo

The scientific consensus is a lie? You’d better tell the media, that opinion piece from 2014 doesn’t seem to have done the job on its own.

Science is not a consensus. Too many scientists are now speaking out about it not being true. Freeman Dyson, Greenpeace founder Patrick Moore and many more. Even the leader of the Labour Party's own brother Piers. You've been watching too much BBC mate.

If it’s not a consensus, what is it?

Consensus is a political term for majority. Majority of scientists once claimed the sun rotated round the Earth, wasn't fact though.

Fact: The UK was both hotter & wetter in the noughties than it was last decade.
Fact: The Jakobshavn glacier (one of the largest in the Arctic) has been growing for the last 3 consecutive years.
Fact: The planet is the greenest it's ever been since NASA started using satellite imagery to measure plantation/forestation.
Fact: Greenland's Summit camp weather monitoring station recorded it's lowest ever temperature last month.
Fact. Walrus' don't jump off cliffs due to Climate Change.
Fact: We're entering Grand Solar Minimum this year and are potentially entering our planets next ice age, potentially lasting 50 years (can't wait to hear all the propaganda spinners to start telling everyone to burn fossil fuels to try and warm the planet up Floor Like that's ever gonna work!).

The facts are all there for everyone to see and read, but likes of the licence fee'd propaganda channel just want to pedal their own agenda and wheel out Attenborough & Thunberg to spin you a pack of lies.

I would like to add something about CO2:

"Carbon dioxide is the chief hormone of the entire body; it is the only one that is produced by every tissue and that probably acts on every organ."
Yandell Henderson, Ph.D. - Cyclopedia of Medicine (1940)
CO2 has many important functions in the body; It is essential for oxygen delivery to cells, maintaining blood pH and much more.
Most people nowadays have very low levels of CO2 in the body due to over-breathing while being inactive, causing unnecessary, excessive removal of CO2 from the blood. This lack of CO2 severely affects essential body processes and causes chronic diseases on the long term.

I was planning to open something similar to hyperbaric chamber but focussing on delivery of CO2 not oxygen, unfortunately current situation that I'm in not allow me to invest.

About climate change I agree with all that it is true and it was true since EARTH become EARTH, how much impact we have not sure and no one is, but we can all agree if current cars will run as cars 30 years ago we will have problems not with EARTH but with our health.
As for today I don't think driving cars have any affect on us or planet, manufacturing for sure does, again mostly thanks to government regulations like banning hemp I can't believe there are still some people claiming hemp is BAD Dont know

You can make "paper" from it, fuel, clothes, food package etc

This isn't true, Alex - Galileo (a natural philosopher, what we might consider a scientist today) and father of what we know today as the scientific method was at odds with the church over the heliocentric vs terracentric model.

It was his observations of reality that lead him to challenge an ideological driven position - and of course there are very strong parallels today with your culture war informed view being opposed by all credible scientists.

I'd suggest, if this is a hill you are prepared to die on, that you don't waste your time with us - but instead target the IPCC, and the discipline of climate science. as you'll need to convince them rather more than you'll need to convince us.

IPCC (and especially Al Gore) are just a corrupt organisation capitalising on it with their carbon credits/tax. The Paris Agreement is nothing more than a farce. It's no wonder the Yanks aren't bothering with it.
