Having used an old 996 office chair daily for the last 6 years I am finally upgrading. I managed to source a very clean pair of heated 997 sport seats for a bargain price of £490.00 for the pair.
Now this time around I decided I was doing a proper job of it. So I had some mounts made and powder coated. I have fitted a rechargeable battery under the seat so all the electrics work including the heaters for those chilly winter days.

Has my obsession gone too far?

Great work Tom!

Love that you have the heaters working.... if I am sat at my desk all day (stuck on long conference calls, working from home) I often find that I get cold. A heated seat seems the perfect solution.

I fitted a 12V 7Ah battery like this one;
https://www.cef.co.uk/catalogue/products/1287768-7ah-12v-sealed-lead-acid-battery

All electronics and battery are mounted in a box like this one;
https://www.cef.co.uk/catalogue/products/4623737

I have a 12V nicad trickle charger in there, 12V 30A relay, and a delay off relay to control the heater.

I have not drawn out the wiring but could if you want a copy.

Image below is what I sent to the fabricator.

Heated and electric Porsche office chair = Priceless worship

If any Liverpool fans are out there, a lot at the moment Rolling Eyes , then I have this to sell/swap Dont know

Had a little too much wine and paid well over the odds at a charity auction, original dug out seat, not available to buy.

Will take a normal pic later and post up Thumb
