following on from this thread,

http://911uk.com/viewtopic.php?t=134392&highlight=

I have now placed a deposit on this

https://www.cridfords.co.uk/inventory/used_cars/200606-porsche-911-997-38-carrera-2s-coupe-tiptronic/

It's having some work done before I (hopefully) collect it next week.
A little different from the red one but after lots of deliberation decided to go for a tiptronic. I suffer from back pain and sciatica so thought this would make the driving experience a little easier. (still need to get in and out thou Very Happy )
I have some things I plan to do in the coming months so will make frequent use of this great forum.

You should try getting into (or out of) a fixed bucket in a small car, parked in a tight parking space without room to open the door properly. I'm no shrimp as I'm 1.82m, 100kg, and I've got long legs. There is however a knack to it. You need to use both hands however, and go back for the briefcase/laptop/shopping/coat...
