From here on in, Rufus will be henceforth known as.......THE DUKE.

Buying some mesh tomorrow for the front grills, followed by a four wheel alignment in Monmouth.
Had a wee blast out toward Cwmbran today, bit traffickey but opened him up a couple of times. Definitely going to change the exhaust out for a more sporty version and the sunroof rattle is still there! frustrated
I think I’ve traced it to the rear part of the headlining near to the rear window. (Any more pointers more than welcome)
Whilst the bumper is off, I’m also going to address the two side lights, both of which are scratched and one of which has condensation in it.
Had a look around THE RAMP ROOM today too, met the owner Barry, he seemed really switched on, and was a proper gent, and he’s nearer than Cardiff, so going to take THE DUKE in for his first proper service there I think.

thumbsup

Might head out early early on Sunday over to West Wales, want to try the TOP GEAR road!

Happy days. Jeez, I’m easily pleased! 🤪😬

I offered to pay my daughter £5 if she could track down a few rattles in the back of my 4S, she did a sterling job!

One was in the roof- the headlining is held up with rods which slot into holes above the side windows- I suspect one of these has come adrift, or is rattling in the guide hole.

The Duke is looking great! Lucky you with those roads on your doorstep.

Is it ok to post his Menu price list?

He seemed like a really nice, friendly, no hard selling kind of bloke.

Yeah, it’s pretty lush round this way. Smile

There’s actually a guide to removing a headlining in PORSCHE 911 World, mind you, I’ve just taken the bumper off and that’s given me the sweats!

Thanks for the tip, I reckon you might be right on the button.

looks to me like a replacement that has a hard life! Hopefully it was replaced because of too much stone damage for a bumper of the right colour (cheaper option) as against front end collision damage. You could replace the centre blank with mesh, personally I think it looks better, but each to their own. I fell into the extra cooling trap and fitted the third radiator and mesh only to be advised that the third rad actually makes the engine hotter! Search posts by Baz to explain why/how. Embarassed

I’ll check in the morning for metal damage but I didn’t see anything obvious tonight.
Had the wheels aligned today, the back ones were quite out!

Cheers,

Suns out bumpers off?

Just finished my DIY grill kit. Blimey, no one said it’d be easy!
To be fair, the hardest part was making the template for the mesh to be cut round. I used some Gorilla adhesive to blob the tabs down on the grills. Also cut the bottom corners out of the rad cowls.
All went back together easily as I labelled everything that came off!
