Looks like 991 have taken a leg down in the last 6 months. Top555 have a nice spec 2017 991.2 GTS for 78k - looks like serious value

Can't help thinking that values for the 991.2 will soften more rapidly than those of the 991.1, as those that want greater modernity will gravitate towards a used 992 and those who want the N/A experience of the 3.4/3.8L will look for a low miles 991.1 Question

I don't want to go off-topic but whilst I want to believe this, I do wonder what impact electric vehicles will have on the residuals of all petrol cars, including "classic cars".

The best advice, enjoy petrol cars whilst you can and try not to think about residuals.

I like how the 991 is fastly approaching the £40k mark..

I think that makes for a nice buy.

They are a fantastic car 991.1 especially with chrono & sports exhaust, buy one when you can at £40k well worth it.
I am not thinking of changing any time soon & loving it.

I don't know but could keep this car long term because nothing much can better it for the same price to me.

The 991.1 is basically the new 997, which makes the 997 the new 996 Grin Surprised

The current used prices reflect the current state of the market. The current market favours buyers, who are able to get better deals than normal, and this affects the used / part exchange prices, making 991.1 and 992.2 look to be good deals - also being helped by 991.2 owners trading up to 992.

This is likely to change, going into 2020, post election etc., with 991 prices coming back again

Good time to buy, not so good if you are a seller.
