I had heard rumours that people were adding wood to their 911s , but thought it was probably only Americans with no taste or Russians with even less taste. but there is the proof wooden centre console and air vents on a UK car , I honestly dont think that car is worth more than 35/40k nooo

Agree, Phil - take £50K off the asking price and that would be about the right level - are you going to give him a call and have discussion?

Not sure the conversation would go well as not sure I would be on the same wavelength as anyone who thought there 996 turbo was worth 80 odd grand unless of course the gt2 badges have fallen off Floor Floor Floor

Sticking my head above the parapet here - in a bizarre way I quite like the colour combo; exterior & interior. That said I am occasionally seen in purple/pink shoes which my kids hate!

However, you’d have to get a discount for the fact that most people hate the colours & you’d struggle to sell it on.

Also, prior to getting my all black interior I looked at a 996 convertible that had ‘boxster’ red interior with the same burr walnut dash/speaker/steering wheel/centre console feature. The walnut was a mess - glue dries, peels off & a very expensive option doesn’t survive the years well.

Guess it’s going to remain up for sale for quite a while unless there’s a massive price drop!

If the buyer doesn't like the conservative exterior colour of the car they could always change it.

eg.

I really like the exterior colour, I could live with the interior (if I drove everywhere in sunglasses) apart from the wood which isn’t too difficult to change, but the price Floor Floor Floor Floor

What is it with Turbos and disgusting interiors?!! I'm tempted to say that interior is worse - looks like a sun bleached Tesco value wrapping Surprised

At least this one is an "investment opportunity" rather than a car, though... that way the £80k price tag makes sense..... no, wait... Dont know

I think he means its an "investment opportunity" for him if some mug, I mean discerning buyer, pays £80k for it, given that it probably owes him under £35k.

Dealers seem to be confusing rare as in 997 sport classic or 911R, with rare as in seemingly specced by an overimaginative toddler.

I could look past the interior, but the pricing is way out as mentioned. If its so clean he should have underside photos as well, that's the proof of the pudding for me. Missing 4 years servicing is also going to prove costly. Rubber seals and orings really hate to be sat for a long time unused.
