Hi,

Can anyone help me by providing a photo of how the intermediate muffler straps are positioned around the muffler. In particular how the clamp/bolt of the strap is positioned relative to the bracket on the muffler.

The first image below is from my car and shows the straps, I am interested in the opposite side to that shown in this photo.

The second image I nicked and shows the bracket on the muffler (and the strap in the guys hand), I am interested in the position of the strap clamp/bolt in relation to that bracket.

I'm asking as my muffler has been removed and I'm checking another issue that might be impacted by the strap clamp position.

I've searched the interweb and haven't found a suitable image as yet.

Thanks
Steve

Thanks for looking and finding that, I strongly suspect the clamp should be on the other (engine) side and just straddling the flat fabricated brackets on the muffler - makes since to me. Actually I found an image in my Adrian Streather book, see below, bottom left corner.

I doubt it makes much difference where the clamp is, but I am curious as I have an issue I am investigating.

Thanks again
